Our Summer BreakSpot Party Tour

Each summer, the FDACS team visits sites across the state to bring extra energy and excitement to Summer BreakSpot sites with our Party Tour.

You provide the meals, we bring the fun! From games and music to face painting and more, these events help create a welcoming environment that encourages kids to return again and again.

Update: Our 2026 Party Tour stops have been selected. Stay tuned for information about signing up for 2027. We welcome you to host your own party in the meantime!

Our Summer BreakSpot Party Tour in a Box

Our Party Tour in a Box initiative is an extension of the Summer BreakSpot Party Tour, designed to bring that same fun and energy to even more sites across the state.

While our in-person tour visits select locations, Party Tour in a Box gives you the tools to create a similar experience right at your own site. Each kit includes games and activities to help site sponsors create a fun, welcoming environment that keeps kids engaged and coming back.

Update: Our 2026 Party Tour in a Box recipients have been selected. But don’t let that stop you from hosting your own celebration! Stay tuned for more information about signing up for 2027.

Additional Resources for New and Existing Sponsors

A successful children’s Summer Food Service Program must be well supervised, organized and offered in a safe environment to serve children fresh, appetizing and well-balanced meals. To function effectively, site staff should be dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate. As a site supervisor, you set the standard for workers around you and ultimately determine your community partner’s success or failure in the program. It is important to keep reliable records, report food and safety concerns to your partner and maintain inventory to ensure the success of your partner’s program. By following program guidelines and working as a team with your partner during school vacation periods, you can ensure that your site will provide essential nutritious meals and snacks to neighborhood children in need.
